How this calculation works
This uses the same amortisation formula as a mortgage, but with the term entered directly in months, which suits shorter loans like auto or personal loans: M = P × r(1+r)ⁿ ÷ ((1+r)ⁿ − 1), where r is the monthly rate and n is the number of months. The currency picker only changes the symbol shown — it does not convert your numbers.
Tips
Compare offers on rate, not just payment
A longer term can make two very different loans look similarly affordable per month — check the total interest line too.
Check for early-repayment fees
Paying a loan off early can save interest, but some lenders charge a fee for it. Ask before you sign.
Compare the APR
The annual percentage rate folds most fees into one comparable figure, which makes offers easier to line up than the headline rate alone.
See if the payment fits your budget first
A low monthly payment can hide a long term. Compare total interest across a couple of term lengths before choosing.
